Newcastle United, Leicester City kickoff delayed due to scoreboard concerns

The kickoff time for Newcastle United and Leicester City is delayed due to concerns over a scoreboard at St James' Park.

The Premier League fixture between Newcastle United and Leicester City has been delayed due to 'issues with an LED screen'.

It became apparent around 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff time that concerns were growing for panels surrounding the scoreboard, which resulted in the turnstiles remaining closed until the problem was resolved.

After it was announced that the game wouldn't start on time, the Magpies revealed that an engineer was at St James' Park and a further update would be provided at 3pm.
