Newcastle United defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor have been ruled out of action for a month, according to a report.
The Magpies skipper has sustained a muscle tear during the international break, while Taylor has been struggling with a knee injury, claims The Mirror.
Both players will be ruled out for the next month, which will see them miss Alan Pardew's side's clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup quarter-final, along with their derby with Sunderland.
Newcastle are short of options at the back, and Paul Dummett may be forced to move into a central role to partner Mike Williamson in the duo's absence.
Pardew's have won their last four Premier League matches and have moved up to eighth in the table.
