Newcastle United will meet Benfica in the last eight of the Europa League.

Newcastle United have been handed a two-legged tie with Benfica in the Europa League quarter-finals.

The Magpies will travel to Portugal for the first leg on April 4, before welcoming Benfica to St James' Park for the return leg on April 11.

A late Papiss Cisse header earned Newcastle a 1-0 victory over Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday to seal their progress from the last 16.

The Tyneside club avoided both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the draw, as they were given ties against Rubin Kazan and Basel respectively.
