Montpellier HSC midfielder Remy Cabella has expressed his relief at avoiding defeat against Nantes on Sunday.
Filip Djordjevic had given the visitors the lead in the first half, but a stoppage-time equaliser from Djamel Bakar rescued a 1-1 draw for Montpellier in Ligue 1.
"We would have preferred to take all three points, given the shape of the match as a whole," Cabella told reporters.
"Still, we pushed and were rewarded at the end. It was about time, too, because if we had lost, it would have been terrible for us.
"This win will put us in a more confident frame of mind. And it's the proof that we're a squad that never gives up."
Montpellier travel to Valenciennes in their next match on Saturday.
