Middlesbrough have reportedly made an increased bid for Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman ahead of the transfer window deadline.
The 26-year-old joined the R's from Bristol City in January 2017 and has gone on to score seven goals from 62 Championship appearances for the Hoops.
Freeman has been linked with Boro over the past few weeks, though Blackburn Rovers are believed to have stepped in with a £4m bid.
However, Sky Sports News has claimed that the Teessiders have rekindled their interest in the former Stevenage man in hopes of completing the deal before 5pm on Thursday.
QPR were handed a transfer ban for breaking Financial Fair Play rules last month, but the sanction will not come into effect until January.
