Middlesbrough have reportedly joined the race to sign Gent striker Laurent Depoitre in the summer.
It has been widely speculated that with just 12 months left to run on his current contract, the 27-year-old will be on the move at the end of the season.
It is believed that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Southampton have all sent scouts to watch Depoitre in action over recent months
However, the Daily Mail claims that Boro have now also thrown their hat into the ring.
The report adds, though, that the Teesiders are only likely to firm up their interest with a bid if they secure promotion to the Premier League.
With two matches left to play, Aitor Karanka's men occupy one of the two automatic promotion places.
