Sven-Goran Eriksson: 'China will continue to attract big names'

Shanghai SIPG boss Sven-Goran Eriksson claims that the Chinese Super League will continue to attract high-profile names due to the league's economic power.

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has claimed that 'more big names' will move to China due to the economic power of the Super League.

Ramires and Jackson Martinez have recently made the move to China, with Alex Teixeira the latest to move to the CSL.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that the Premier League "should be worried" about the financial strength of Chinese football and Eriksson, who is currently the head coach of Shanghai SIPG, is of the same opinion.

"You can't take away the fact that money is the primary factor. It is an emerging league, which is why they are attracting such big names. There will be more to follow," Eriksson told reporters.

Jiangsu Suning are believed to have paid in excess of £38m to sign Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this month.
