Mexico captain Rafael Marquez expects tough Netherlands clash

Mexico captain Rafael Marquez admits that his team faces a difficult test when they play the Netherlands in the second round of the World Cup.

Mexico captain Rafael Marquez has admitted that his team faces a tough clash when they take on the Netherlands in the last 16 of the World Cup.

The Mexicans defeated Croatia on Monday to seal their spot in the next round, while the Dutch saw off Chile to confirm their place at the top of their group.

The two nations will now meet for a place in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

"The Netherlands are a great side," Marquez told FIFA.com. "After such a tight game we need to recover now. We had to fight hard but we performed as a team once again."

Marquez netted Mexico's opening goal against Croatia last night, his 15th in 123 appearances for the South Americans.
