Marseille's £13m summer signing Florian Thauvin has insisted that he sees no reason to justify his acrimonious exit from Lille.
Thauvin signed for Lille in January but stayed with Bastia on loan for the rest of last season, before deciding that he had no intention of playing for Les Dogues.
The 20-year-old eventually completed a protracted move to Marseille before the transfer window closed, with the playmaker adamant that he made a move across Ligue 1 for the right reasons.
He told reporters: "I don't have to justify myself. I know what I did and why I did it.
"Sometimes things happen internally that the public is not aware of."
Marseille coach Elie Baup is likely to hand Thauvin a full debut against Toulouse tomorrow afternoon, with Andre Ayew missing through suspension.
