Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly retains the full backing of the Manchester United board despite the club's poor start to the 2019-20 season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly retains the full backing of the Manchester United board despite the club's poor start to the 2019-20 season.

The Red Devils ended the weekend just two points clear of the relegation zone following a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday.

United's winless run away from home now extends to 11 games in all competitions, prompting many to call for the Norwegian to be dismissed.

According to the Daily Mail, a club source has confirmed that the Glazer family, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the Old Trafford board have not changed their stance on the 46-year-old.

The club continues to support Solskjaer's vision of building a long-term project at Old Trafford based on the championing of academy players who can develop over several years.

With just two wins from 13 Premier League games, United's next domestic outing comes against Liverpool, who have won 17 league games in a row.
