Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly remains interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
Despite being on a long-term deal with the Hammers, Rice was strongly linked with a number of bigger clubs in the summer, which included United.
West Ham were ultimately able to keep hold of the England international, who came through the academy setup at the East London outfit.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Solskjaer sent his personal scout Simon Wells to assess the development of the 21-year-old last week.
Wells was allegedly in attendance as Rice's West Ham side suffered a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The report adds that United have no intention of making a bid for Rice in January.
