Report: Manchester United scout William Carvalho once again

A report claims that Manchester United once again scouted Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho at the weekend.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly had Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho scouted once again at the weekend as the English giants prepare a January move.

Last week, it was claimed that Man United were considering a winter swoop for the 24-year-old, who has been consistently linked with the Premier League over the last couple of seasons.

Carvalho, who was part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016, came through the youth system at Sporting before making his first-team debut in 2011.

According to A Bola, Man United boss Mourinho sent scouts to watch Carvalho represent Sporting against Rio Ave at the weekend and will continue to monitor the defensive midfielder's performances over the next couple of months.

Arsenal, Everton and West Bromwich Albion have previously been linked with the Portuguese.
