Paris Saint-Germain 'concede defeat in Lautaro Martinez pursuit'

Paris Saint-Germain are no longer in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly accepted that they will be unable to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who has scored 16 times in 31 appearances for Antonio Conte's side this season, is widely expected to leave San Siro ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

PSG are one of a number of clubs to be linked with the Argentina international, but according to Mundo Deportivo, the French champions have accepted that a deal for the striker this summer would be impossible.

Manchester United are also said to be admirers of the South American, but Martinez is believed to have already turned down the chance to move to Old Trafford.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest, although Barcelona are regarded as the favourites to secure his signature ahead of next season.

Martinez has a €111m (£97.2m) release clause in his contract at San Siro.
