A deal between Manchester United and Crewe Alexandra for youngster Nick Powell is reportedly "90 percent" done.

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Nick Powell is close to joining Manchester United, according to reports.

Powell, 18, is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in England at the moment and has drawn interest from a number of Premier League clubs, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton all reportedly holding talks with the player.

However, the latest reports claim that a deal between the youngster and the Red Devils is already "90 percent" done.

The deal could be worth up to £8 million depending on appearances and success at the club.

Powell caught the eye throughout Crewe's successful League One promotion campaign, scoring a stunning goal in the playoff final to catapult them into the Championship.

The 18-year-old scored 16 goals in 45 games for the club last season, picking up their Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Top Scorer awards.
