Jose Mourinho refuses to confirm whether Anthony Martial will remain a Manchester United player, with a little over a week of the transfer window left to go.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he 'does not know' whether Anthony Martial will link back up with the squad upon their return to Britain.

The France international left the Red Devils' tour of the United States early for the birth of his second child, having started their previous two friendlies.

While Mourinho was happy for Martial to head back home, the Portuguese felt that the forward should have returned Stateside for the final stages of United's trip, which concluded in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Amid reports that the 22-year-old's future at Old Trafford is coming to an end, Mourinho refused to give too much away when probed on the topic.

"Anthony Martial? This is better for [press officer] Karen [Shotbolt] to answer if she wants to answer."

With no further reply forthcoming, Mourinho was again asked if Martial will link up with his teammates in the coming days, to which he responded: "I don't know."

United beat Real Madrid 2-1 in Miami to round off their United States tour on a high.
