Legendary defender Lothar Matthaus has revealed that he does not want Bayern Munich to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
With less than 15 months remaining on his contract, Kane is naturally being linked with other clubs as Spurs ponder how to approach attempting to keep their record goalscorer.
Reports have suggested that Kane has little interest in extending his terms with Spurs, while the North London outfit do not want to sell to a Premier League rival.
That creates a scenario where Spurs are limiting themselves when it comes to receiving their asking price for Kane, should they decide to cash in on his services in the summer.
If the 29-year-old is to move abroad, it has been claimed that Bayern may be the most likely destination, particularly now that Thomas Tuchel is in charge.

The Bundesliga leaders failed to sign a like-for-like replacement for Robert Lewandowski last year, instead relying on Erik Maxim Choupo-Moting.
While the Cameroon international has enjoyed a fine campaign, scoring 17 goals in all tournaments, Bayern need both competition and a younger alternative.
However, Matthaus has claimed that Kane should be deemed "too old and expensive" for Bayern, who he wants to sign either Napoli's Victor Osimhen or Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani.
Speaking in his Sky Sport Deutschland column, Matthaus said: "I'm excited to see if a new striker comes along. Everyone is talking about Victor Osimhen for his sensational performance at Napoli. You never know if he can do that in Munich, but I think he would be a good fit.

"Randal Kolo Muani may need a little more room and space than a Bayern striker usually has, but he's also good in the box and could work in Munich. Harry Kane would be too old and too expensive for me.
"The price-performance ratio could speak for Niclas Fullkrug. He would probably be available for €20-25 million [£17.6m-£22m] and score 25 goals in Munich. He's already scored 20 times at Werder [Bremen]."
Kane, who will turn 30 years of age in July, has also been linked with a potential switch to Manchester United, the only English team which seems like a realistic option.
Although Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in the past, Los Blancos are not expected to make a major addition during the next transfer window.
