Real Madrid reportedly decide against making a big-money move for either Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe or Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer.

Real Madrid reportedly no longer have plans to make a high-profile signing during the next transfer window.

As La Liga and European champions, much was expected of Real during 2022-23, but Carlo Ancelotti's side have failed to replicate last season's efforts.

Sitting 12 points adrift of leaders Barcelona in Spain's top flight, Los Blancos have been tipped to invest heavily at the next time of asking to close the gap on the Catalan giants.

Most notably, it has been claimed that Real want to win the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham ahead of a number of Premier League clubs.

The futures of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos - both in the latter stages of their career - remain up in the air due to just over three months remaining on their contract.

Meanwhile, there have been suggestions that Real continue to monitor any developments regarding the future of Mbappe, despite the Paris Saint-Germain rejecting a move to them in 2022.

Bellingham is said to be valued in the region of £150m, his contract due to expire in 2025, while Mbappe would likely cost in the same price range, depending on how PSG view the situation in the summer with Mbappe having no more than just over two years left on his new deal.

However, according to Marca, club officials do not want to commit to another big-money signing later this year.

Eduardo Camavigna and Aurelien Tchouameni have both been added to the midfield in recent years, the pair viewed as mainstays in that area of the pitch for the present and future.

Real have already agreed to pay at least €60m for Palmeiras teenager Endrick, who will officially move to the club in July 2024.

The report says that "major reinforcements" will not be made, leaving open the possibility of lower-level deals still being conducted.

As well as Modric and Kroos, the likes of Nacho, Dani Ceballos and Marco Asensio are all due to be out of contract in the summer.

The same applies with Karim Benzema, but there is every expectation that the legendary forward will sign fresh terms over the coming weeks.
