Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Kylian Mbappe's contract situation at Paris Saint-Germain, with the Red Devils eyeing a move for the France international.
The attacker was widely expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, but he ultimately decided to sign a new contract in the French capital.
Mbappe penned a deal until June 2025, but according to L'Equipe, there is a clause in the contract allowing him to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, with the third year seen as optional.
The Frenchman's contract is said to be worth in the region of £650,000 a week, and he has again been in strong form for PSG this term, scoring nine times in seven appearances in all competitions.
In total, the 23-year-old has represented the capital giants on 224 occasions since arriving from Monaco, contributing 180 goals and 88 assists in the process.

According to Marca, Man United have emerged as candidates for Mbappe, should he decide to leave PSG on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
The report claims that the Premier League is 'waiting' for the Frenchman, with a number of sides being asked to be kept informed of any developments.
Real Madrid are also believed to be keen to reignite their interest, and Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti was asked about Mbappe during his press conference ahead of Wednesday's clash with RB Leipzig.
"I give up! I give up with that question! To be honest, we're excited about the forwards we have, above all the youngsters," said Ancelotti when asked about the PSG forward.
"Karim [Benzema] excites us a lot, but when a young player comes in, it's even more exciting. What Vinicius [Junior] and Rodrygo are doing is very exciting. We aren't thinking about anyone else right now, there's no doubt. We're focused and so are the players."

"You never know what is going to happen. I've never been there but it seems like it's my house or something," Mbappe told the New York Times when recently asked about Real Madrid.
Mbappe has found the back of the net on seven occasions in six Ligue 1 appearances for the French champions during the 2022-23 campaign.
Meanwhile, the former Monaco youngster netted twice in PSG's 2-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League last week.
The forward will also be in action for France at the 2022 World Cup, where he will be looking to add to the 27 goals and 21 assists that he has managed in 57 appearances for his country.
Liverpool were also linked with Mbappe earlier this summer, but it is understood that Real Madrid were the only realistic contenders to take him away from Les Parisiens.
