Manchester United reportedly turned down the chance to sign Moise Kean this summer after the player was offered to the club by agent Mino Raiola.
Kean, who broke into the Juventus first team towards the end of last season, completed a £29m move to Everton last month.
The Red Devils have since come under criticism for selling Romelu Lukaku on deadline day and failing to secure a replacement for the outgoing number nine.
According to 90Min, the player's agent initially spoke to United about the possibility of taking Kean before going to Everton, but the Premier League club was not interested.
Raiola, who represents Paul Pogba, brokered moves to Old Trafford for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016, but perhaps tellingly has not done business with United at all this summer amid speculation that the club does not want to deal with the notoriously inflammatory agent.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be happy with his options up front and plans to promote youngster Mason Greenwood, who has excelled in pre-season.
