Manchester United are reportedly open to allowing Dean Henderson to leave on loan this summer providing that there is an obligation to buy included in the deal with Nottingham Forest.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Forest, making 20 appearances in all competitions, including 18 in the Premier League, but he missed the second half of the campaign due to injury.
Henderson is back at Old Trafford this summer and is currently on his parent club's pre-season tour of the United States, but he is not thought to be in the plans of head coach Erik ten Hag.
Forest are said to be keen to re-sign the England international this summer, but the Reds are thought to be looking to loan the goalkeeper initially before signing him once he has played a certain number of games.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-time English champions are open to discussing a loan deal, providing that there is an obligation to buy Henderson during the January transfer window.

Forest are said to have reservations over signing Henderson permanently at this stage, with the goalkeeper not playing since January due to a thigh problem, and he has not featured for Man United during pre-season.
The Red Devils have signed Andre Onana this summer to become their new number one, while Tom Heaton is set to stay at Old Trafford despite the speculation surrounding his future.
Man United are also said to be in the market for another goalkeeper, with Urawa Red Diamonds' Zion Suzuki among those to be linked with a move to the club.
Speaking after Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid, Red Devils head coach Ten Hag said that Henderson would 'have to fight' to earn regular football at the club.

"We have a group of keepers and, as everyone else, you have to fight for your position," Ten Hag told reporters. "I think that's normal when you're at United.
"And he (Henderson) is a good goalie, he has to fight and we have to see when he can return to team training."
Henderson came through the youth system at Man United, and he has represented their first team on 29 occasions in all competitions.
The England international became the club's number one for a spell of the 2020-21 season but only made three appearances in 2021-22 before spending last season at Forest.
Henderson has also had loan spells at Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United during his professional career.
