Manchester United reportedly have no interest in allowing Scott McTominay to leave the club during this summer's transfer window.
The Scotland international was again an important player for the Red Devils during the 2021-22 campaign, making 37 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist in the process.
McTominay has now made 170 appearances for Man United since debuting in 2017, and he has three years left to run on his contract, with the option of an additional 12 months.
The 20-time English champions will sign at least one new central midfielder this summer, though, with a deal for Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong believed to be close to being completed.
As a result, McTominay could find it difficult to secure regular starts next term, and according to The Times, Newcastle United and another Premier League club asked about the midfielder earlier this summer.

However, the report claims that new Man United boss Erik ten Hag made it clear that he wanted the 25-year-old to stay with the club during this summer's transfer window.
Ten Hag allegedly views McTominay as a 'pivotal' player, and the Red Devils are not prepared to entertain offers for him in the current market.
Man United are currently light in central midfield, with both Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic allowed to leave the club on free transfers this summer.
However, Donny van de Beek is back at Old Trafford after a loan spell at Everton in the second half of last season, and the Netherlands international is expected to be given the chance to ignite his career at Old Trafford.
De Jong could be followed to Man United by another central midfielder, with Leicester City's Youri Tielemans and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Ruben Neves also linked with moves to the club.

The Red Devils are believed to be closing in on deals for De Jong and Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia, but they are allegedly behind Arsenal in the race to sign Ajax's Lisandro Martinez.
The 20-time English champions are also believed to be keen on Ajax attacker Antony but could yet be priced out of a deal for the Brazil international.
Man United returned to pre-season training on Monday and are preparing to head to Thailand and Australia on their pre-season tour, with the team due to fly out on July 8.
Ten Hag's side will take on Liverpool in their pre-season opener on July 12 before facing Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano as part of their preparations for the new campaign.
