Manchester United have allegedly emerged as a potential destination for River Plate winger Julian Alvarez.
After recently appointed Ralf Rangnick as the club's new interim boss, United are expected to be active during the January transfer window.
While fresh faces in defensive and midfield areas are likely to take priority, the Premier League giants may be prepared to freshen up their attack.
According to Ole, United signalled their interest in Alvarez as recently as last week with the Argentina international continuing to attract widespread attention.
The 21-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of next year, has enjoyed a phenomenal campaign, contributing 18 goals and six assists from just 21 league appearances.
Real Madrid, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa are among the clubs who are also said to be monitoring any developments with his future.
Alvarez is said to have a release clause of €20m (£17.07m), which will almost certainly be activated in January.
