Manchester United have allowed Demetri Mitchell to pen a loan deal with Hearts.
Mitchell was given the chance to make his debut for United in the final game of last season, with the left-back playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
However, the 21-year-old has not made a first-team appearance since his outing in May, but Mitchell will now gain regular action with Hearts.
Mitchell will join a training camp in Valencia before potentially making his debut in the club's derby showdown with Hibernian on January 21.
Hearts have previously secured loan deals with other Premier League teams, with Liverpool's Connor Randall and Manchester City's Ashley Smith-Brown currently at Tynecastle.
