Juventus have edged closer to completing the free transfer signing of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 29-year-old officially leaves United when his contract expires at the end of June, which was confirmed by the club in recent weeks.
It will be the second time that Pogba leaves Old Trafford on a free transfer, having previously left the Red Devils upon the expiration of his contract back in 2012 as well, when he made the move to Juventus in Serie A.
The World Cup winner's former side, Juventus, have been favourites to secure the midfielder's signature again this summer, despite reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain as well.
Although, Los Blancos have recently denied their interest in the Frenchman, with the La Liga outfit set to complete the signing of Pogba's compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco in the coming days instead.
After several weeks of talks between Juventus and Pogba's representatives, the Italian outfit appear close to completing a deal in the coming days according to transfer expert Romano.
The journalist tweeted via his official Twitter account on Thursday evening saying: "Juventus are working to complete Paul Pogba deal in the next few days. Talks progressing with agent Rafaela Pimenta, it's considered matter of final details. Top signing expected to be done and sealed very soon."
Pimenta has taken over the handling of Pogba's representation since the recent passing of former agent Mino Raiola.
