Manuel Ugarte will reportedly travel to England on Tuesday to undergo a medical with Manchester United, and the Uruguay international could make his debut for the club in Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The 23-year-old has been Man United's leading midfield target throughout the summer, and it is understood that the English giants have now reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer.
According to journalist David Ornstein, Ugarte will travel to England on Tuesday to undergo a medical with Erik ten Hag's side ahead of signing a long-term deal at Old Trafford.
Ornstein claims that Man United will pay an initial €50m (£42.2m) for the South American, with a further €10m (£8.4m) potentially arriving in add-ons.
PSG had initially wanted a fixed fee of €60m (£50.6m), so Man United have been able to secure a reduction when it comes to their top target, who only arrived at PSG from Sporting Lisbon during last summer's transfer window.

Ugarte 'travelling to England' for Man United medical
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that, despite the speculation, Man United have not made any bids for midfielders other than Ugarte this summer.
Ugarte, meanwhile, is said to have made it clear that he only wanted to move to Old Trafford this summer despite PSG engaging in talks with other clubs.
The midfielder made 37 appearances for PSG last season, while he featured on 85 occasions for Sporting Lisbon ahead of his move to the French capital.
Ugarte's arrival will open the door for Scott McTominay to leave Old Trafford, with the Scotland international closing in on a move to Napoli.
Fulham had been interested in McTominay earlier this summer, but the midfielder is now preparing to make the switch to Serie A with Napoli.

Will Ugarte make his debut against Liverpool?
Providing that there are no holds-ups, a deal for Ugarte should be completed in time for the midfielder to be in the squad for Sunday's game against Liverpool.
Man United will hope that Ugarte can train alongside his new teammates towards the end of this week, which would put him in a position to be involved against Arne Slot's side.
Head coach Ten Hag is under pressure to deliver a result against Liverpool following last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
However, it would be a surprise to see Ugarte come straight into the XI, with his debut for the club instead potentially coming off the bench in Sunday's showdown at Old Trafford.
