David de Gea has reportedly asked Manchester United to sign three top European stars this summer in order for him to stay at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard has been regularly linked with Real Madrid in recent years, coming particularly close to joining two-and-a-half years ago but for paperwork issues.
De Gea's current contract expires in 2019 and, even though United have the option of extending that deal by a further year, they are still hoping to tie the 27-year-old down to a long-term contract.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, De Gea wants Juventus duo Miralem Pjanic and Paulo Dybala, plus Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti, to be signed by United.
The report claims that the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper believes that acquiring the aforementioned trio would make United a huge force in Europe once again.
De Gea moved to Manchester from Atletico for £18.3m in 2011, and has made over 300 appearances for the club to date.
