Manchester United manager David Moyes says that no advances have been made in the club's bid to sign Cesc Fabregas.

David Moyes has insisted that there have been no developments in Manchester United's pursuit of Cesc Fabregas.

The Scottish manager confirmed recently after a large amount of speculation that he was keen to sign the Barcelona midfielder.

Chief executive Ed Woodward left the club's pre-season tour of Australia last week to conclude some "urgent transfer business", but despite reports to the contrary, Moyes has admitted that he has no further news to add.

"I've not had any more news since we last spoke yesterday," Moyes told reporters. "I have no more updates so I couldn't give you anything positive or negative."

Recent rumours have suggested that Barcelona would demand at least £35m before they considered parting with the Spanish international.
