Ramon Calderon: 'Sergio Ramos is unhappy at Real Madrid'

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes that defender Sergio Ramos is unsettled at the Spanish club.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has suggested that Sergio Ramos is unsettled at Santiago Bernabeu.

Reports have stated that the 29-year-old defender has decided to leave Los Blancos and has started to learn English in preparation for a switch to Manchester United.

Calderon has claimed that current president Florentino Perez is not too concerned about keeping Ramos at the club.

"It is clear that he is unhappy because the president has refused to extend his contract," Calderon told talkSPORT.

"I find it like a punishment because he supported Carlo Ancelotti publicly, he said it was a mistake to sack him, and he is also backing Iker Casillas.

"Let us see what happens in the next few weeks. It is going to be very exciting to know what is happening. If Sergio goes to Man United, they will be very lucky."

It has been suggested that with United goalkeeper David de Gea expected to join Real soon, the Premier League side want to take Ramos to Old Trafford as part of the deal.
