Barcelona join the race for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic on a free transfer, according to a report.

Barcelona have reportedly joined the race for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatia international's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with his contract at San Siro due to expire next June.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur are all believed to be interested in the midfielder, who has scored once and provided two assists in 15 appearances at club level this term.

However, according to La Repubblica, there is also genuine interest from Barcelona, with the Catalan outfit looking to make low-cost signings amid their financial problems.

The report claims that Inter are struggling to meet Brozovic's contract demands and are therefore expecting to lose him on a free transfer ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Croatian has scored 26 goals and registered 35 assists in 257 appearances for Inter, winning one Serie A title during his time with I Nerazzurri.
