Arsenal are reportedly hopeful of landing Fabian Ruiz from Napoli in a £16m deal this summer.
The Gunners are expected to be in the market for a new midfielder ahead of Mohamed Elneny's contract expiration, with Granit Xhaka also still thought to be on Roma's radar.
The likes of Kalvin Phillips and Sergi Roberto have both been linked with moves to Arsenal, who are also thought to be preparing to ship Lucas Torreira out to Fiorentina on a permanent deal.
Now, The Mirror claims that Arsenal have been alerted to Ruiz's availability after the 25-year-old rejected the chance to extend his Napoli deal beyond 2023.
The report adds that Arsenal representatives have already been in touch with Ruiz's entourage, with a fee of £16m likely to be enough to prise him away from Naples.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a "big fan" of Ruiz, who has also supposedly caught the eye of Barcelona and Real Madrid after previous links with Manchester United and Liverpool.
Ruiz boasts five goals and three assists from 20 Serie A appearances for Napoli this season and cost the Italian giants £27m upon his arrival from Real Betis in 2018.
