Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz is reportedly keen to sign for either Real Madrid or Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
Since leaving Real Betis in 2018, the 25-year-old has established himself as a key man in Naples, making 152 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Spaniard's contract is due to expire in 2023, and the player will likely depart Napoli at the end of the season if he shows no interest in a renewal.
According to Calciomercato, Ruiz's preference is to move back to La Liga with either Real or Barcelona.
As it stands, both clubs may look to prioritise other areas of the pitch, but there remains a chance that they may attempt to sign Ruiz for a cut-price fee.
Newcastle United allegedly failed with an approach for Ruiz in January, while Arsenal and Manchester United have also been named as potential suitors.
