Premier League in Numbers: Week 32

Sports Mole picks out statistics from each of the 10 Premier League matches that were played over the weekend.

Manchester United 4-1 Aston Villa

It was a landmark day for Wayne Rooney, who took his Premier League goals tally to 171. Only Thierry Henry (176), Andy Cole (189) and Alan Shearer (260) have scored more than the United striker.

Also, his brace of goals raised his total against Villa to 12, which is more than he has scored against any other club.

Villa, meanwhile, have been beaten in six of their 15 matches away from home.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Chelsea

This was Jose Mourinho's 15th Premier League defeat as a manager - all of them have come away from Stamford Bridge.

The outcome also meant that Mourinho has suffered successive away losses for the first time since May 2006.

As for Palace, they had not previously beaten their London rivals since 1999.

Southampton 4-0 Newcastle United

Newcastle's poor form away from St James' Park continued as they failed to score for the fourth time in five encounters.

Scoring goals has not been a problem for Jay Rodriguez of late, though. The Southampton frontman has now fired in 15, including finding the net at least once in his last four outings.

His teammate, Rickie Lambert, scored what was the 22,500th goal in Premier League history.

Stoke City 1-0 Hull City

The Potters have lost just one of their previous 13 matches in front of their own supporters at the Britannia Stadium.

On the flip side, Hull have only come out with maximum points from one of their last 10 meetings with Stoke.

While Steve Bruce's side have shown good form at the KC Stadium, they've lost 11 times away from home.

Swansea City 3-0 Norwich City

The defeat was Norwich's sixth in a row away from Carrow Road and extended their winless run on the road to eight matches.

In fact, the Canaries have only won two fixtures away from home all season.

As for Swansea, the win marked a second in charge of the team for manager Garry Monk.

West Bromwich Albion 3-3 Cardiff City

Although they went on to claim a point, Cardiff have let in nine goals in the 90th minute of matches or later.

One of Cardiff's goalscorers, Steven Caulker, found the net for the fifth time this season, four of which have been scored with his head.

The draw means that West Brom have still only managed to record three wins at The Hawthorns.

Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City

When Mathieu Flamini equalised for Arsenal, it ended a run for Man City of 561 minutes without conceding a Premier League goal.

While the Citizens have shipped just nine goals at the Etihad Stadium, away from home they have let in 19.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have collected 13 points from a possible 30 in their last ten outings.

Fulham 1-3 Everton

The Toffees have won five consecutive Premier League matches, which is their longest winning streak since November 2002.

It also helped them to continue their recent positive record against Fulham, having lost none and won seven of their previous nine meetings.

Talking of Fulham, they have won just four of their last 20 Premier League outings at Craven Cottage.

Liverpool 4-0 Tottenham Hotspur

In the two matches between these side this season, Liverpool won the aggregate score 9-0.

The victory also saw the Merseysiders extend their winning run to eight matches - a feat that they haven't achieved since May 2006.

Younes Kaboul put through his own for Spurs, which took this clash's Premier League tally of own goals to nine - more than any other fixture.

Sunderland 1-2 West Ham United

Against the teams currently in the bottom half, Sunderland have collected just eight points from a possible 45.

Their goalscorer, Adam Johnson, has been directly involved in 10 of his side's 13 Premier League goals in 2014.

As for West Ham, Mark Noble now has four assists this season, which is the same number as Arsenal playmaker Santi Cazorla.
