Premier League predictions gameweek 35: A Certain Ratio's Martin Moscrop vs. Sports Mole
Sports Mole takes on Martin Moscrop of A Certain Ratio for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 35 of the 2023-24 season.

A crucial North London derby headlines gameweek 35 as Arsenal aim to keep their noses in front of Manchester City when they make the short trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

That mouth-watering showdown kicks off just before Man City are in action themselves away to Nottingham Forest, with the champions bringing the curtain down on the gameweek.

Out-of-form Liverpool kick things off at West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime as they look to keep their fast-fading title hopes alive in the hope of slip-ups from their rivals the following day.

Saturday could also see the first Premier League relegation of the season confirmed, with Sheffield United's fate potentially being sealed when they visit Newcastle United.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Martin Moscrop of A Certain Ratio.

Martin Moscrop Q&A

A Certain Ratio press shot 2

How did you come to support Manchester United and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

My Dad was a football supporter who used to go and see all the teams in the North-West including Man United, Man City, Preston North End, Burnley... and he would take me with him to some of them. Visiting Old Trafford and seeing Man Utd win for my first game there turned me instantly into a Red.

Who have been your favourite five players for your club?

George Best, Ryan Giggs, Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes and Denis Irwin.

What's going on with the band at the moment?

We have a new album out called 'It All Comes Down to This' and we start the tour in Huddersfield on April 25. We'll be visiting Leeds, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Norwich, London, Bedford, Portsmouth, Brighton, Birmingham, Hull, Sheffield and Bristol and finish on May 17 at Manchester's New Century Hall.

Check out 'All Comes Down To This', the latest release from Manchester post-punk band A Certain Ratio, available on all digital streaming platforms now.
