Manchester United's Phil Jones: 'I'll play anywhere'

Manchester United's versatile centre-back Phil Jones says that he is happy to play in any role for the club.

Phil Jones has insisted that he is content to play in any position for Manchester United.

The 21-year-old is known to be most comfortable at centre-back, but since he joined United in 2011 from Blackburn Rovers, he has often been used at right-back or in midfield.

He is yet to discuss his role with new manager David Moyes, but the England international has revealed that he would like to feature on a regular basis next season, regardless of the position.

"We haven't spoken about it yet, but I'm sure as the tour progresses then it will arise," he told the club's official website.

"It's like I said last season when I was playing right-back, centre-back and centre midfield, I just enjoy playing football and if that means playing in different positions then that's fine, I just want to play. Hopefully I can play plenty of games."

Injuries limited Jones to just 24 appearances in all competitions last season.
