Manchester United's Paul Pogba is reportedly unhappy with his withdrawn midfield role in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Paul Pogba is reportedly unhappy with his current position in the Manchester United team.

The France international has largely operated in a withdrawn midfield role at the start of the 2020-21 campaign, with Bruno Fernandes pushing forward to support Anthony Martial in the final third of the field.

However, according to The Independent, the World Cup winner 'hates' the deeper role in the team and believes that he would make a bigger contribution further forward.

Pogba has struggled to impress in the early stages of the new season, although he did find the back of the net against Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup at the end of September.

The 27-year-old revealed during the recent international break that he 'dreams' of a move to Real Madrid, fuelling suggestions that he will leave Old Trafford next summer.

However, Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said during his press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Newcastle United that Pogba would be remaining at the club for at least the next two years.
