Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville believes that the emergence of Adnan Januzaj is the only positive aspect of the club's campaign this season.
Last year's Premier League champions failed to qualify for any European football tournament after falling to seventh in the table.
During the season, the Red Devils, who finished 22 points behind champions Manchester City, dismissed manager David Moyes less than 10 months after he took over from retired Sir Alex Ferguson.
When asked on Sky Sports' end-of-season television special if United can take any positives from their season, Neville said: "Umm...Januzaj maybe, coming through. I can't think of many more.
"There's not much you can take out of this season at all other than to say, you start again next year and you move on."
United are expected to install Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal as their new manager in the coming days.
