Juan Mata: 'Only a matter of time before Manchester United win Premier League'

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata says that it is only a matter of time before manager Louis van Gaal leads the club to Premier League glory.

Juan Mata believes that it is only a matter of time before Manchester United re-establish themselves as the dominant force in England by winning the Premier League again.

The Red Devils sit on the brink of the Champions League group stage after finishing fourth in Louis van Gaal's first season in charge to reach the playoffs, which take place in August.

However, Mata is already sold on the Dutchman's philosophy, and says that he is bound to guide United to the level of success that they had grown accustomed to under Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I think he's good," Mata is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"Obviously he has a lot of experience. He has character. He has his philosophy and he follows that philosophy until the end. It's good for the players.

"The football that he wants us to play is an attractive football and I love that football so I think it's just a matter of time."

Van Gaal's men finished 17 points behind champions Chelsea during the last campaign.
