Manchester United have reportedly been closely monitoring Mason Greenwood's training sessions this summer.
The 21-year-old has been pictured on more than one occasion undertaking training exercises in a public space during pre-season, with the forward not yet being allowed to return to Carrington.
Earlier this week, Greenwood was filmed by fan account Man United The Religion undertaking a training session while his father and entourage watched on.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-time English champions are receiving data from the sessions, with the club preparing to make a final decision on his future.
Man United are expected to make an announcement on Greenwood before the start of their 2023-24 Premier League campaign, which will be against Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 14.

The Englishman is able to resume his football career during the coming season, having seen all criminal charges facing him dropped at the start of February.
Last year, Greenwood was initially arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and he was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The forward was also facing charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but the charges have now all been dropped.
There was a time when it looked likely that Man United would terminate Greenwood's contract or attempt to sell him this summer but that is no longer believed to be the case.

A loan exit is believed to be the most likely outcome to the situation this summer, with the forward set to spend the 2023-24 campaign away from the club at a foreign team.
Greenwood has another two years left to run on his contract with the 20-time English champions, which has left them in a strong position when it comes to making a decision.
Before his arrest, the forward was regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, representing Man United on 129 occasions, scoring 35 goals and registering 12 assists in the process.
Greenwood's teammates are allegedly open to the forward returning to the dressing room, while the club's head coach Erik ten Hag is thought to have had a series of positive conversations with him.
