Mark Hughes: 'Manchester United can win title'

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes believes that Manchester United are still capable of winning the Premier League title.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has claimed that Manchester United are still in with a chance of winning the Premier League title.

The Red Devils travel to the Britannia Stadium tomorrow 10 points adrift of leaders Chelsea following a nine-game unbeaten run.

Despite admitting that Louis van Gaal's side have a tough task of catching up with Chelsea, Hughes believes that they could still be crowned champions this season.

"I think they are title contenders," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "They may have given themselves too much to do - they're 10 points back at the moment and there are very strong teams ahead of them.

"They're coming into a run of form now which will encourage them and that's what they need to do; they can't afford to have too many more slip-ups."
