Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic expects Real Madrid to be at their best away from home in tonight's pivotal Champions League clash at Old Trafford.

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has declared that Real Madrid will provide tougher opposition away from home in tonight's Champions League last-16 decider.

Madrid travel to Old Trafford at a slight disadvantage following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Bernabeu.

Vidic did not play in that match but thinks that Jose Mourinho's style of play is more suited to hitting United on the counter, thanks to the pace and power of Cristiano Ronaldo.

He told The Sun: "This will be a more difficult game. We are playing at home and are defending a positive result.

"But it is also a dangerous result because they have the ability to hurt with a free kick or from set pieces.

"They are so good on counter-attacks but when they are at home, their fans want them to attack all the time and press high. At Old Trafford, though, they will be more relaxed and more dangerous."

Sir Alex Ferguson's side will qualify for the quarter-finals if they can stop Madrid from scoring this evening.
