Wayne Rooney praises fellow strikers Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez after Manchester United sealed their qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has praised his side's fellow forwards after their comeback victory over Braga.

United sealed early qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League as goals from Robin van Persie, Rooney and Javier Hernandez helped the Red Devils come from behind to earn a 3-1 win in Portugal.

The victory maintains United's 100% start to their European campaign, and Rooney says that a big part of that is down to the club's attackers.

Speaking on Van Persie, Rooney said: "He's a fantastic player. He's been a great addition to the team, scoring goals, and he's great to play with.

"Not just him but 'Chicharito' (Hernandez) has been brilliant in recent weeks when he's played, scoring goals, so I think we're sharing the goals out and it's great for the team."

United travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
