Former Manchester United midfielder Paddy Crerand has jokingly suggested that he will "kick" Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo in the tunnel before Wednesday's Champions League clash.

Crerand, who is in Spain as part of his duties with the club's official television channel, was responding to questions on how to stop the former United winger.

"How do you stop Ronaldo? I'm going to kick him in the tunnel before the game!" he told MUTV.

The first leg of the last-16 clash will take place this evening, with the second leg to come at Old Trafford next month.
