Wolverhampton Wanderers 'put £110m price tag on Ruben Neves'

Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly tell Manchester City that it will take a bid of £110m to prise midfielder Ruben Neves away from Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly told Manchester City that it will take a bid of £110m to sign midfielder Ruben Neves.

City have emerged as favourites to sign the 21-year-old having missed out on Jorginho during the summer, with Pep Guardiola eager to bolster his midfield options.

The Times reports that Guardiola has identified Neves as a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, but Wolves are reluctant to sell and have attempted to price the Premier League champions out of a move.

The newly-promoted team are understood to have placed a £110m price tag on the head of Neves as they are sceptical of their chances of bringing in an adequate replacement should the Portuguese star leave.

Neves is also thought to be happy at Molineux, having only joined the club last year and gone on to help them to win promotion from the Championship.
