Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has allegedly said that Kylian Mbappe will join the club next year.
Los Blancos attempted to sign the Paris Saint-Germain attacker during the summer transfer window, but the French giants refused to sell the World Cup winner despite the fact that his contract is expiring next June.
A recent report claimed that Manchester City had joined the race for the France international, who as it stands, would be able to speak to foreign clubs in January over a pre-contract.
However, according to Directo Gol, Los Blancos president Perez has been quoted as telling a supporter of the Spanish club that he expects Mbappe to move to the Bernabeu in 2022.
The 22-year-old has again been in impressive form for PSG at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, scoring four times and contributing four goals in nine appearances.
Mbappe, who is believed to be desperate to move to Madrid despite interest from the Premier League, has scored 136 goals and registered 65 assists in 180 outings for his French club in all competitions.
