Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that he is unhappy with the club's lack of transfer activity this summer.
Reigning Premier League champions City have been linked with a number of targets during the close season, including Robin van Persie, Daniel Agger and Daniele De Rossi.
Mancini has said that City's failure to add to their squad is the responsibility of sporting director Brian Marwood.
The Italian said: "After four months, I don't know what to say. You need to ask Brian Marwood.
"I am not the sporting director. I can't say anything about players. I am not happy, but I don't know what to say."
Mancini was speaking at a pre-match press conference for Sunday's Community Shield against Chelsea at Villa Park.
