Roma sporting director Gabriele Sabatini has insisted that midfielder Daniele De Rossi is 'irreplaceable'.
Manchester City have continually been linked with a bid for the 29-year-old, but Sabatini has revealed that it would take a "monstrous" bid for the Italians to even consider selling De Rossi.
Sabatini told reporters: "He is a player of extraordinary importance and not replaceable.
"If a monstrous bid materialised, we would evaluate it, but we are not looking for buyers for Daniele because he is the pillar of our team."
De Rossi has made 389 appearances for Roma.
