Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Premier League champions Manchester City.
Roberto Mancini has admitted that his side need more signings to continue to improve and the Daily Mail suggests that he could be considering a bid for Wanyama.
The Kenyan international angered his manager Neil Lennon recently by revealing that he is interested in a move away from the Scottish club but reports have indicated that it would take a £7m bid to secure his services.
Mancini is rumoured to see Wanyama as a perfect choice to provide cover for Yaya Toure.
Wanyama is also a reported transfer target for Queens Park Rangers.
