Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly identifies three centre-backs whom he may look to sign during the next transfer window.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified three defensive targets ahead of the next transfer window.

While City continue to impress in the final third, it is a different story at the back with the Premier League giants having failed to find a long-term replacement for Vincent Kompany.

However, according to The Times, that appears to be Guardiola's priority after witnessing Liverpool win the Premier League title.

The report suggests that the Spaniard is open to signing one of Kalidou Koulibaly, Pau Torres or Ruben Dias in the coming months.

City have recently been strongly linked with Napoli's Koulibaly, who may cost in the region of £72m.

Dias is valued in the same bracket by Portuguese giants Benfica, leaving an approach for Villarreal's Torres as a deal which may be regarded as the most realistic option in the current financial climate.
