Javier Faus: 'Key players will never be sold'

Barcelona vice-president Javier Faus warns that key players will never be allowed to leave the Catalan outfit.

Barcelona vice-president Javier Faus has insisted that Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar will never be sold by the Spanish club.

Messi in particular has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou in recent months, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City said to be preparing moves.

However, Faus has laughed off suggestions that the Argentine will leave Camp Nou.

"Let them make us an offer, it's their problem. Messi, Suarez and Neymar will never be sold," he told Mundo Deportivo.

"You can't achieve in three years what other clubs do in 40. The rich don't necessarily win the Champions League.

"They can be very competitive in five years, providing they stay organised. They must invest in training facilities and find more revenue streams."

Barca face PSG in their final Champions League group match on Wednesday.
