Report: Borussia Dortmund slap £68m price tag on Julian Weigl

Reported Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain target Julian Weigl is believed to have been given a €75m (£68m) price tag by parent club Borussia Dortmund.

Purported Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain target Julian Weigl has reportedly been slapped with a €75m (£68m) price tag by parent club Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old midfielder moved to Dortmund from 1860 Munich in 2015 and has made a name for himself at the club, with 127 appearances already racked up despite his young age.

However, the Schwarzgelben's acquisitions of Belgium international Axel Witsel and Denmark midfielder Thomas Delaney have led to rumours linking Weigl with an exit from Signal Iduna Park.

According to The Sun, Dortmund are not prepared to let their young asset leave and have given him the hefty price tag in a bid to discourage prospective suitors.

The report adds that Pep Guardiola is said to be a fan of Weigl, while PSG manager Thomas Tuchel knows the youngster from his time at Dortmund.

Weigl has also won five caps for Germany since his international bow in the summer of 2016.
